My tutorial programme
I offer to teach you to use your computer effectively in your own home, one-to-one.
If you haven't got a computer with internet access, I will advise you of the options and the costs involved.
I will tailor the programme so that you learn what you want to do, at your pace.
I won't teach you a whole lot of stuff you don't need to know.
Normally, 1 to 2 hours is enough in any one day.
The lessons can be daily, twice a week, weekly, or whatever you want.
You don't have to commit yourself to more than one lesson at a time.
I will invoice you at the end of every month for the number of lessons you have had.
My charges
My basic tutorial charge is £8.00 for an hour for one or two people in the same household.
If I have to come to you by car then there will be an extra charge, which I will discuss with you.
If I teach more than one person at the same time from different households as a group (friends, neighbours)
I will charge £6.00 to each person.
Senior Computing's Mission Statement
To encourage seniors in the Northampton area to become computer literate by helping them to set up their computers for efficient use,
including internet access, by means of tutorials in their own homes, and giving ongoing telephone support as long as needed, at what
I believe to be fair and affordable costs.
By doing this I shall be:
- enriching the lives of seniors by giving them access to the worldwide web (www) with its host of information and services
- contributing to the Government's plan to make an increasing number of people computer literate
- building a small, local business in an honest and fair way and so benefit the UK economy, charitable giving, and myself and family
